Tonys GT4

Thought i'd post up and update on the GT4.

Well, Sound deadening has been removed from under the Seats / Carpet / Dashboard.

Engine is out, Head and Gearbox off. Head has been stripped down ready for porting. Block is due for stripping down.

There was'nt much warping in the head, only 6 Thou. which i was pleased with.

Engine Loom has been trimmed, all none needed connections have been removed.

Car has gone to the paint shop to tidy up a few bits.

My New Adjustable Cam Pulleys have arrived,

Exedy Twin Plate Clutch has arrived.

Hopefully the Pistons, Con Rods, Wastegate Etc will be ordered today.

I've got a new Final Gear Set coming (3.933 Ratio instead of my standard 4.285)

My New Fuel Rail and 1000cc Injectors should be on their way from America, as should my poly engine mounts.

I think that covers it so far, I'll put up some pics of Head, Block, Clutch, Pulleys etc as and when i can.

It's gonna be the fastest ST185 in the U.K. hopefully...........should do well in the race series at Stratford.........AS LONG AS NUMPTY BOY CLOGS IT...... ....lol

Just a quick update.

Right, the car is back from painting, and is so much better.

The final gear set has arrived.

The engine mounts have arrived.

I'm just about to order the New Valves.

I've purchased some new Geniune Toyota side indicators (Nice Orange Stock Items, instead of the shite that was on there)

Rear Strut brace has been fitted (Standard ST205 Rear Brace, Fits a treat)

Some interior trim bits are being purchased, to replace some damaged bits.

Brand New Genuine Toyota gear gaiter as my old one was getting, well....... old.

New Side Decals arrived a couple of weeks ago, to replace the old faded ones. Which can now be fitted since the painting has been done.

Thats it for now, more to follow soon. and pictures.

Quick Update,

Piston Rings are on their way to me (After at least 4 Weeks of waiting )
Intercooler and Radiator cores are finished, and should be here next week
Decided to replace all the brake lines for nice new ones

Well, finally the piston rings arrived yesterday. at last

The intercooler and radiator have turned up aswell, very, very pleased with them.

Got to decide wither to get some lighter seats, thinking of Corbearu Forza Sports.

But, the main thing, the big big thing is work can progress again on the car.

Really hoping the car will be ready to go to Jap Show in, if it is, it should hopefully prove to be a good portion of the \"Running in\" for the engine, clutch, brakes etc.

I know i've been saying this for a while, but pictures will follow.

well, very quick update......

Pistons, con-rods, bearings, crank all bolted into the block. tolerances were plastigaged and are spot on.

the squish is being checked and altered if nessacery, and then the head should be bolted up.

it's starting to look like an engine again rather than a lump of pig iron.

can't wait......
