Did a little engine bay work at the weekend, fitted a motordyne thermal plenum spacer and added a polished upper plenum..
before
new stuff
bit of work
result
I'm actually quite suprised by the result of the spacer, the exhaust note has changed and there is definately more pull throught the range. A good mod indeed. Needed an ECU reset so i might be getting the result of the intake and exhaust all in one hit. Either way, very happy

The boss looks fine Greg, that was my concern too - however i really hated the feel of the stock wheel (too big, 370mm dia i think) so i was ready to give it a try. I figured if the boss looked a bit pap i could go down the route of a works bell short hub and a nice anodised quick release - would have been a bit expensive though. I'm really pleased with the results of the standard Momo set up

ha ha ha, that's how I was with the white (carbon) bonnet episode and look where that got me!
The wheel though was done through a necessity to remove and burn the OEM wheel. To be honest, not only does the momo feel much better - i'm loving the look of the new wheel too - result

oh dear god, here we go again ..
The original wheel was a little greater in girth, which led to a slower response upon a firm yank. It felt a little reserved, although, to be fair, with a bag built in, it did feel like it would explode in my face without warning if i wasn't careful. I always felt like i needed to be guarded.
The new wheel is a juvenile youth, it is spontaneous and frivolous - it's eager to please. Without a bag built in i have no fear of unprompted explosions. Yet, with a little tickle, the whole experience comes alive in my hands!
In summary, the old wheel felt loose and slow, but also a little desperate to please - with a danger of exploding at an time. The new wheel feels sporty and accommodating, it feels like it has something to prove - even though it has no danger of exploding!
