Bought a Z, so i started a thread.
Going to be up for sale as of next week. To say i have enjoyed the car is an understatement, but i can never keep still for too long and have ideas for the 350. Will be sad to see her go though - always is. Actually i've had this car for 2 years now which is the longest i've kept a car i think!

Thanks for the comments bud. I have looked extensively at the Volk range of wheels and have decided that circa 3k is just too much for a set of wheels (without tyres). I am looking at a budget of around 2.5k with tyres. Most of the cheaper wheel manufacturers (rota etc.) have almost perfect (shameless) copies of popular Volks so there are some about in budget. To add to the mix what about these, they seem very similar to the Volk sf winning wheel to me, but less than half the price
You have to use your imagination a little where disks and calipers are concerned but i think i like these beter than the first ones i mocked up??

They are identical bud - had a good old stare tonight. Mania no longer produce the Vortex R. I think these guys (Barracuda) bought the manufacturing rights (or so i'm told) - they are at a good price and have correct offsets for 350. I'm thinking a set of these with 245/35/19 - 275/35/19 Toyo T1-R's might be nice.
What you think?

Thanks for the heads up Mart. The guys on the 350z forums did say the Falkens are not too progressive in the wet, but quite a good tyre in the dry. To be honest this car drives very predictibly compared to the MR2 (no turbo), and has traction control, so i don't think it's such a big issue. In addition because the rims are polished on the new wheels i'm going to run the Nissan alloys in the winter, which will have different rubber on. Now if i started adding turbo's i think i might reconsider!

You wouldn't believe how hard i've had to look to find most of this stuff. I've been off all week and done little else, just been trawling the web and ringing suppliers. Nobody is carrying any stock - like of anything! i guess it's due to the recesion and the rather unfavourable exchange rate against the yen (it is seriosly bad).
That said, if there wasn't a recesion i probably wouldn't have been able to afford the car so its all relative.
