a quick update on the changes to the corolla and my plans for the 2011 show season.
i love my car and how it looks but there are a few things that i am not happy with, first up is the way although it gets a fair bit of attention, me being me i always strive for more, so ivce set about a few subtle changes to make the car really stand out from every other corolla on the road. first up, while i was getting the xmas decs down from the loft i found a few parts from my mr2, mainly my apr cannards,
this got me thinking and i thort they would transform the front of the corolla so i set about the bumper, the result definatly works even if i do say so myself
next up after a few hours of drilling, cutting, grinding and welding i finally managed to make my new seats fit, they are leather sports seats from a gen 7 celica and have really changed the sportiness of the interior
finally the biggest change im currently working on is the stance of the car cos in my opinion stance and wheel choice can completly make or break a car. i have been looking at genuine jdm wheels to replace my 5 spokes now as everyone knows i have kind of a soft spot for the advan 3 spokes, however they are near impossible to find in 17" four stud fitment. as a result i have decided to go for a 5 stud conversion which will help the stance of the car due to 25mm spacers being required. i have also purchased a new set of genuine volk racing 3 spokes as a more individual choice to the advans, plus they were a really good price
also i think they really sey the cannards off and once i have put my own ideas into place the car will be demanding a lot more attention im sure.
so let the work begin im sure the wheels are gonna look awesome but they aint gonna be easy to fit due to spacers, stud conversions, tyre choice and more than likely arch flaring and rolling.
