Well, she's decided on what to get. It's not something that will have any respect in the club but it's a repsectable vehicle I suppose. It's not Jap which is a shame.

And it is the amazing Volvo S40. 2.0D as in a Diesel. Yes, I know it's a Volvo and a Diesel, but to be fair it's a modern design, the hood, no! I mean bonnet, looks good. Don't like the back end much. She actually went and test drove it without me. The cheek of it, she knows nothing about cars. Yes, I can hear you saying the same about me, but it's all relative.

Im excited, my HKS Exhausts arrived today. Just got to get them fitted now.

Supposed to be quiet at idle and sound great as the revs go up. The HKS is the most popular choice with the americans which is why I picked it, I have nothing to test or compare against. So who knows.

Had them fitted today and they sound great. I am really pleased with them. Much shinier than the old one too !!

My wife saw them and thought I had chosen the colour of the tips so that they matched my paint !!! That's typical of her.

I'm watching, with interest, that guy's project that I met at the Jap Show. He's actually a really nice guy - been conversing with him online for a few months. (Wasn't too keen on his buddy, some of the remarks he came out with....). Anyway, his car is under the knife at the moment (for 3 weeks). I'm trying to persuade him to run at SantaPod. August?? I finally got the numbers out of him for the costs of the project - it is very big money (a lot lot more than the package offered by that company at Japshow as per the leaflet I was carrying around!!!!) - It's a Cosworth design. I've heard that they were involved in the new GTR (whether that's true or not?). Anyway, I'd be keen to see how that goes. If he goes to Santapod in August, he has told me he doesn't want to go with the club his mate is a member of. He thinks like you Andy about that one. Having met his buddy, I can understand..

Anyway, I'm spending too much money already....

That would be very nice!! I'm a bit conservative though - I like the subtle changes. I'm not bold enough to make big changes. I still haven't decided on the bodykit. Even the lip and skirt kits are quoting $700 shipping which I think is way excessive. Duty has to be paid on shipping too, so I'm really reluctant. There's really no other way though. Maybe later in the year. I need to recover from the costs of those pipes yet

The new grill takes away the shiny front. Not sure If I'll like it or not, I quite like the shiny bit at the front actually. Guess I'll find out when it arrives. I've arranged for it to be pre-painted.
