Clay Bar

stu the meguiars clay bar is that best thing in the world mate i use it regularly on the bora and after ive used it the body work is sooooooo smooth. then with polish on top of it leaves an unbelievable deep shine.

put it this way i threw a microfibre cloth on my bonnet once (they will stick to anything) and it just slid off the other side lol it really does leave it that smooth im gonna clay it for JAE if i go so ill show you then

get it from halfords mate or can order directly from meguiars themselves only theyve changed the packagin now and its called smooth surface clay kit but its still the same thing

Well Chris, popped into Halfords yesterday and picked up the clay kit.

Thought - I'll try it on my wife's Volvo first to see what it's like (no risk to my car!!)

and it is ace. It really does transform the feel of the paint to glass. Incredible. I thought when first using it that this isn't going to do anything, the clay slides over the panel so easily with the lubricant spray - I figured that it can't be removing much, but it did (and her car is quite new too) it is amazing really.

Do you re-use your clay Chris or throw away after one car use??

It's quite pricey at around £23 but blimey it's worth it.

Just aquired one of these off Pabz...........ive promised him ill clean the GTR with it .............

yeah now we have to teach mr g to clean his car lol yes stu you can use the clay bar over and over i normally use it till that bottle of detailer has ran out then you buy another bottle and just get a new clay with it.

It does seem incredible ...........but yes dude's............i am going to start cleaning the Skyline properley...........Pablo gave me a large bucket containing £100.00 worth of Meguire's polish's cleaning products etc........so id better start and use them.........i also inherited a clay bar......didn't notice if there was any \"detailer\".......not sure how to use the clay thingy........may need some instruction.............lol.....

yes there was some detailer there, that was the stuff i said was quick detailer and you just spray on a panel and wipe over, good for when at a show, once the car is washed you don't have to keep on washing it

nope not at all Mr G i have spent the evening chilling with the TV, i had a bollock full at work so needed a veg lol
