For those of you racing the 1/4 !

It has been decided that the Christmas Tree to be used for the start of JSFC elimination rounds will now be a 0.500 ProLight Tree (in preference to the previously published Sportsman Tree).

For those of you new to drag racing an explanation of how this works can be found at:

www.rbracing-rsr.com/nhraxtree.html

And a simulator for you to practice is also available from that page at:

www.rbracing-rsr.com/nhraxtreepro.html

It is expected that this tree will be run throughout the RWYB sessions to enable sufficient familiarisation time for everyone.

Don't forget this will be "heads up" racing, so understanding how this works will be essential for those who want to progress in the JSFC. As it says on the linked pages "Races are won or lost on the starting line. It's not as simple as it looks!"

Thanks

Dave
) The Japanese Street Fighter Championship is for ROAD DRIVEN CARS with Japanese Cars with Japanese engines ONLY.

b) This year it has been decided that the R2 Drag competition will be split into two classes,

F1 will be for 'proven road cars'

These cars will be taxed + MOTed but will be free to run Drag tyres, but must remain in the ''spirit of the rules'' i.e. no out and out pure Drag race cars.

F2 will be for ''proper driven to the track normal fully fledged road cars only''

Running on full conventional tubeless street tyres, ( no Drag cheat tyres, such as BF Goodrich, MT, Hoosiers etc). This will be an equaliser as it will not matter how much power you have because the grip will not be there to use it.

c) F1 + F2 will be painted on the cars windows in white at scrutineering so spectators know what class a car is running in.

d) The car class is to be declared when scrutineering/signing on so the onus is on the driver to declare his chosen class.

e) These cars will be checked in the fire-up lane on a regular basis, and any driver found with the wrong tyres in F2 will be excluded from the meeting.

f) Please note the decision as to whether a car is eligible to compete in either class will be taken by MRC. This may happen before, during and after the meeting and the clubs decision will be final.

g) There will be a trophy each for the fastest Rear Wheel Drive , Front Wheel Drive and Four Wheel Drive cars in F2 during The Japanese Street Fighter Championship

h) Both classes will run on pump fuel but additives are allowed, i.e. NO METHONOL etc.

i) The Top 32 fastest qualifier's will go through to the main event on Monday afternoon at 3pm (TBC) for elimination rounds to determine the winner.

j) Qualifying times may only be set during defined qualifying periods during RWYB sessions on Sunday and Monday.

k) This will be ''heads up'' racing with the winner being the first one who crosses the line.

l) In the event of a tie the winner will be decided on the times run.

m) If a red light is lit on the starting tree to say you have left the line too early you are then eliminated from the competition,

However in the event of two red lights being lit by both competitors then the car that lit a red first will be eliminated immediatly from the competition

n) Lights used for all runs will be “Sportsman Tree” set to .5s reaction time, the Track will provide a link to text providing explanation of this shortly.

o) In addition to the ''Street Fighter Championship'' there will be a “Hot Hour” session run on Sunday afternoon at a time TBC open to the n (number TBC) fastest cars that have run in defined qualifying sessions upto that point.

This will be held on Sunday afternoon to give a point of interest for spectators just attending that day. Awards will be defined and presented for performance during that time period. Any results will not count towards final JSFC results

p) MRC reserves the right to define additional rules governing the running of the JSFC and will advise all registered entrants accordingly
