Japanese Auto Extravaganza - 29/30/31 August 2008

Seeing as the regulars are a bit dubious on whether to go or not i sort of volunteered to run this one for JNC. first up im gonna ask for a show of hands whos interested in going, and providing theres going to be enough people ill book a club stand for the relevant number.
details are as follows.
Japanese Auto Extravaganza - 29/30/31 August 2008.
East Mersea Island, just outside Colchester. CO5 8SX.
few snippets of info:
food: for this show its gonna be take your own, tea/coffee should be do-able if you have a camping stove... if not, i have the tomoguchi 12v kettle of justice, it will be used for my pot noodles!
drink: NO GLASS BOTTLES ON SITE. FULL STOP. it is a danger to tires and feet. mersea island is used as an activity centre all year round by youngsters so a smashed glass item is not good...
weather: currently mediocre, could be sunny (we hope) but take some waterproofs, you have been warned...
camping: similar to previous years (on stand).
show and shine: cant see us doing this to be fair.
THURSDAY - Set up day. Only limited number of club representatives allowed on site.
FRIDAY - The show opens from 10am. The gates will be open until midnight.
SATURDAY - The gates are open from 7am until midnight.
SUNDAY - The gates are open from 7am and the show closes at 5pm.
MONDAY - You can camp overnight on Sunday if you wish but must be away on Monday morning.
high tide times:
Thursday 10:51
Thursday 23:29 (JAE gates will close shortly after anway)
Friday 11:54
Friday at midnight (JAE gates will be closed by then anway)
Saturday 12:46
Sunday 01:17
Sunday 13:31 (before the awards so not many people leaving then anyway)

Prices: It is £1 per car on the stand (which i have paid for) and entrance is £15 for the weekend on the gate and £12 advance ticket. more details available on the website link above.

meeting at catch corner, J13 M6, 8:30/9 AM.
we are aiming to leave STAFFORD at 9AM on FRIDAY 29th AUGUST. take note, thats FRIDAY. this will get us to jae around 1pm. ish.
Tom (V35) we will pass the little chef on the A12 so if you want to meet us there you can. not sure what time yet but we'll exchange phone numbers beforehand and sort that out when were on the road. cheryl, no idea where you will get on the M1 so find out and let me know, ta
